One of the first things to do when practicing visualisations and meditations is to create your own quiet space. You can then go there at any time and know that you can relax and switch off from the stresses and strains of modern life. The place should be peaceful, quiet and still, and it needs to feel safe and secure. You need to choose a place where you will not be disturbed.



ROTATION OF CONSCIOUSNESS
Relax and follow the following images.

Sunshine and warmth
Summer rain
A rainbow of colour
The blue sky
The blue sky meeting the ocean
The horizon
Dolphins playing
A lonely yacht drifting on the breeze
Seagulls gliding
Feel the cool ocean breeze
Waves lapping on the seashore
The soft golden sand supporting the body
The warmth and stillness
The breath flowing
The in and out of the breath, the still point and the pause
between inhalation and exhalation
The deep quiet rhythm, the eveness of breath
I am relaxed and still

AUTOGENIC TRAINING
When using this technique, lie or sit in a comfortable position with the eyes closed and concentrate on the six fundamental stages.

Heaviness
The right arm is heavy
The left arm is heavy
Both arms are heavy
The right leg is heavy
The left leg is heavy
Both legs are heavy

Warmth
The right arm is warm
The left arm is warm
Both arms are warm
The right leg is warm
The left leg is warm
Both legs are warm

Heart
My heartbeat is calm and regular
(repeat five times)

Breathing
My body breathes itself
(repeat five times)

Abdomen
My abdomen is warm
(repeat five times)

Forehead
My forehead is cool
(repeat five times)
